Highlights of 2018

The theme for IEW 2018 was ‘Invest in India’, in line with the Central government’s ‘Make in India’ call. Organised by the EFY Group, the latest avatar of this annual event comprised a large exhibition of technology products, 11 conferences (attended by 100-plus speakers and 2,500 delegates from India and abroad) and 15-plus workshops for those who wanted to update their tech knowledge. IEW 2018 recognised the remarkable achievements of India’s tech-industry and provided an excellent platform for those in the industry to network and interact with each other in order to grow their businesses.


The CEO Summit on the theme ‘The Roadmap for Enhancing Value Addition in Electronics Manufacturing’ was put together with the help of ELCINA (India’s leading trade association representing the electronics industry). The chief guest at the summit was Sunil Kumar Barnwal, IAS (secretary to the CM; secretary, IT and E–governance; as well as secretary, industries, mines and geology, Jharkhand). Other eminent guests included S.K. Marwaha, senior director, MeitY and Deepthi Ravula, joint director (electronics and semiconductors), government of Telangana.

Buyer-Seller meet

This event provided a unique platform for exhibitors to meet 11 large buyers of technology products/services, components, manufacturing equipment, and IoT hardware, among others. This year, more than 100 meetings took place between buyers and sellers.

Biggest IoT exposition & conference in India

IoTshow.in, a sub-show at IEW 2018, witnessed the biggest IoT Exposition and conference in India. This show is also the receipient of the tag of World’s #1 IoT event.

Big and diverse Innovators’ (Start Up) zone

Start-up’ Zone, having more than 40-plus start-ups, a unique part of the show where we witnessed the latest innovations (by Indians), spread across a range of applications and industries. Visitors were bound to get new business ideas from this zone and many also ended up partnering with these innovators.
